I am currently interim Dean of the School of Education and professor at The College of New Jersey and hold a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies in Human Development from the University of Pennsylvania. In 2009 I launched the Urban Education Program at The College of New Jersey, which is focused on recognizing and responding to conditions that contribute to inequities in schools. Over the years I have worked on large and small scale program evaluation as well as consulting on projects aimed at working with underserved communities to create positive change.
I am also a playwright and storyteller and teach improvisational acting at Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, PA. I love yoga and Crossfit and have a 500RYT Ashtanga yoga instructor certification. I also conduct trainings with schools on how to create playful classrooms by integrating movement, art, and storytelling into their practice.
